  Photo Gallery


The Photo Gallery module allows you to upload, manage, and share your photos with your website visitors. There are two available formats to choose from; HTML and flash. The HTML works great for those that are not using flash. The flash format jazzes up how your photos are displayed.



Photo Gallery Configuration Instructions.                                       

There are two different ad options available to you.  You can utilize one or both of them concurrently on your website.  To get started, please select one of the following options below.

  1. Add a New Gallery - this section explains how to add a new gallery to the photo gallery module.
  2. Add a Photo Gallery Token - this section explains how to add a photo gallery token to any of your website's pages.
  3. Default View - this section explains how to place an image ad on your website.
  4. Player Config - this section explains how to edit an existing text or image ad.
  5. Advanced Player Config - this section explains how to place a text token onto your website.
  6. Advanced - this section explains how to place an image token onto your website. 

Add a New Gallery.                                                                                   [ Back to the top ]
    • Login to your website with your full e-mail address and password.
    • At the Welcome Menu, click on the Photo Gallery link.
    • On the Photo Gallery index page, click on the Add new gallery link.
    • Fill in the Title and Keywords text boxes. 
    • Type in the Start date or click on the calendar icon to select the day you want this gallery to Start on.  If you want this gallery to end then type in the Expire on date, if you don't want it to expire then leave it blank.
    • To add an image to this gallery click on the Upload Image Browse button, find your image on your computer, and then click on the Open button.
    • If you have uploaded photos to the gallery folder via the image and file management module then you can add images to the gallery by using the Select Image drop down menu.  From the select image drop down menu choose the file that you want to add to the slide.
    • In the Caption text box fill in the description of the image.
    • If you want to upload a custom thumbnail then click on the Add Thumbnail button, and then click on the Browse button.  Select the thumbnail you want to upload from your computer, and then click the Open button.
    • To add a new slide click on Add Slide button.  And then repeat steps 4 to 9.
    • When you have added all the photos that you want to this gallery, click on the Save & Submit button.
    • This will take you back to the Photo Gallery index page where you will be able to see your newly created photo gallery.  Finished!

Add a Photo Gallery Token                                                                       [ Back to the top ]
  1. Login to your website with your full e-mail address and password.
    • At the Welcome Menu, click on the Photo Gallery link.
    • On the Photo Gallery index page, click on the Tokens link.
    • Now click on the Add new token link.
    • On the Add Photo Gallery Token page, select the size of your Thumbnail / Gallery slide show under Gallery Type.
    • On the same page select the Gallery you would like to use for this token.
    • Click the Add button.
    • Copy the Token Code corresponding to the Gallery you want to display.
    • Go to the page where you want the Photo Gallery to be displayed and edit it.
    • Paste the Token Code on the desired page.
    • Click the Save and Publish button at the bottom of the page.

    • Login to your website with your full e-mail address and password.
    • At the Welcome Menu, click on the Photo Gallery Configure link.  This will take you to the Default view tab.
    • Fill in the Intro Title and Intro text for the gallery.  If you want to show the intro title on the photo gallery index page, then leave the Show check box selected.  If you don't want to show it then uncheck the show check box.
    • Now choose how you want the photo gallery module to sort your galleries.  There are three available sort options.  From the Default sort by drop down menu select Newest, Most Popular, or Title.
    • This next area allows you to show your photo gallery thumbnails on the index page.  If you want to show thumbnails then leave it at the default Yes.  If you don't want to show thumbnails on the index page then select No.
    • The Thumbnail Mode allows you to choose if you want the first image or a random image of the gallery to be the thumbnail that shows on the index page.  Make your selection now.
    • This last part allows you to pick the template you want to apply to the photo gallery.  From the Gallery Template drop down menu, make a selection.  When you are finished click on the Save & Exit button.  Finished!

    • Login to the website with your full e-mail address and password.
    • At the Welcome Menu, click on the Photo Gallery Configure link.
    • Next click on the Player Config Tab.
    • The Thumbnail position allows you to control what location, i.e. left, right, or bottom the thumbnails will show up.  From the thumbnail position drop down menu, select the position you want the thumbnails displayed in.  If you don't want to show any thumbnails select none.
    • If you select the Left or Right position options, you will see two new options appear; thumbnail row and thumbnail columns.  To modify these simply change the current numbers to the new numbers.
    • If you want to change the Text color, click this link, find the color you want, select the hexadecimal code, e.g. FFFFFF or CCCCCC, and paste it into the text box. You can also change the Frame color and the Background color by using this same method.
    • This last sections handles the gallery dimensions, width and height.  Type in the new number or percent in the width and height text boxes.
    • When you are finished click on the Save & Exit button. You're done! 

Advanced Player Config.                                                                          [ Back to the top ]

    • Login to your website with your full e-mail address and password.
    • At the Welcome Menu, click on the Photo Gallery Configure link.
    • Next click on the Advanced Player Config Tab.
    • This first area allows you to control the speed at which the player displays the photos.  The slide show speed is based on seconds between 1 and 10.  A fast speed is from 1-3 seconds.  A medium speed is from 4-7 seconds, and a slow 8-10 is slow.
    • If you want to show the player controls then leave the default set at Yes.  This will allow visitors to stop the slide show, move back and forward between slides and adjust the speed at which the photos change.  If you would prefer that your visitors do not have these options then change the default to No.
    • The Show Gallery Icon Link, displays an icon that links to the menu gallery page.  If you want this function enabled leave it at the default Yes, if you don't want this enabled then change the option to No.
    • If you would like to Show Image Captions then leave it at the defaulted Yes option.  If you want a gallery with no image captions then select No from the drop down menu.
    • The Auto Start feature allows the photo gallery to start automatically.  To keep this feature enabled leave the default Yes option selected.  If you don't want the photo gallery to auto start then change the defaulted Yes option to No.
    • The next feature is Frame Size.  By default it is set to zero if you would like to have a thicker frame around your images then type in a number from 1 to 10.
    • The Arrow colors option allows you choose what color you want the arrows to be, black or white.  From the Arrow color drop down menu select the color you want for your website.
    • The switch roll over feature allows you to view a image simply by moving your mouse over the thumbnail.  When you do this the large picture will change to whatever thumbnail your mouse is hoving over.  If you want to disable this feature then change the defaulted Yes, to No.
    • When you are finished, click on the Save & Exit button.  You're done!

    • Login to your website with your full e-mail address and password.
    • At the Welcome Menu, click on the Photo Gallery Configure link.
    • Click on the Advanced Tab.  There is one option in here that you can use.  It's the Enable Custom thumbnail option.  If you want to allow people to upload custom thumbnails then leave it at the Yes selection, if you don't want custom thumbnails then change it to none.
    • When you are done editing, click on the Save and Publish button.  Finished!
