I made up a joke - a riddle sorta - that I thought was funny.
Have you ever noticed that a puzzle piece always fits in the last place you try to put it?
That's it! That's the joke! It fits in the last place you try because once it fits you don't try anymore.
Then I started thinking, maybe it isn't really funny.
We stop trying when we succeed.
We stop looking when we find.
We stop hoping when we receive.
If joy really is in the journey then maybe those of us who are trudging, putting one foot in front of the other, still trying, still looking, still hoping . . . maybe we are the ones truly blessed.
